How does Sally work?

When you send or receive an email to set up a meeting, simply Cc Sally on the email chain and let the other meeting participant(s) know that Sally will arrange a time for you to meet. Sally will take it from there.

Since Sally has access to your calendar, she can propose some times that work for you and check the availability of the other meeting participant(s). She handles all of the back-and-forth until a meeting is set, then she confirms the meeting and sends out a calendar invite from your calendar. 

How do I use Sally to make travel and/or restaurant reservations?

Simply email Sally with the date(s) and location(s) of your flight, hotel and/or restaurant reservation needs. Sally will send over the best options (based on your preferences) for you to review

What calendars does Sally integrate with?

Currently, Sally integrates with Google Calendar, iCloud/iCal, Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange.

Can I change Sally’s name?

Absolutely, you can opt to use Sally’s sidekick, Sam, if you prefer! You can make this switch by simply emailing sam@meetsally.ai instead of sally@meetsally.ai.

Can Sally and Sam use an email address associated with my company’s domain?

i.e., sally@companyname.com or sam@companyname.com)

Yes. You can have Sally or Sam use a custom email address rather than the standard sally@meetsally.ai and sam@meetsally.ai address. This feature is available to Premium and Platinum users upon request.

What happens if someone emails Sally directly to request a meeting with me?

You can allow certain contacts to email Sally directly to request a meeting by adding them to your “VIP list.”

If someone emails Sally directly who is not on your VIP list, Sally will forward the message to you and ask whether you’d like her to go ahead and schedule the meeting.    

Does Sally work across time zones?

Yes, Sally coordinates across all time zones. She factors in the meeting participant(s) time zone(s) when suggesting times that work for you.

Sally assumes you are in your home time zone unless you are traveling and your travel dates/location are noted in your calendar or in your Sally preferences.

I use multiple calendars. Can Sally view my availability across calendars?

Yes, you can connect multiple calendars to your Meet Sally account.

If your secondary calendar is not a Google Calendar, iCloud/iCal or Office 365 calendar, Sally can still view your availability across calendars if you sync that calendar with your primary calendar. Please reach out and we’d be happy to help you get set up.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel a meeting?

Let Sally handle it! Email Sally directly at sally@meetsally.ai and tell her which event you’d like her to reschedule or cancel, and she’ll take care of it.

How do I make a request to Sally?

How will Sally know my preferences?

You can set your preferences at anytime by logging in to your account or by emailing Sally and requesting to set your preferences. She’ll send over a few questions for you to respond to. 

Can I use Sally to schedule internal meetings?

Absolutely!

Sally will reach out to an internal meeting participant just as she would an external meeting participant to find a meeting time.

If two or more users are Sally users, Sally can even schedule the meeting without emailing any of the participants, provided you activate this feature.

Do you offer an enterprise solution?

Yes, we work with enterprise customers. Please tell us about your company and a member of our team will be in touch.

Can I change Sally’s name?

Calendar

Does Sally send invites from my calendar?

Yes. When Sally schedules a meeting on your behalf, she sends a calendar invite from your calendar, and the email address associated with that calendar.

What calendars does Sally integrate with?

Currently, Sally integrates with Google Calendar, iCloud/iCal, Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange.

I use multiple calendars. Can Sally view my availability across calendars?

Yes, you can connect multiple calendars to your Meet Sally account.

If your secondary calendar is not a Google Calendar, iCloud/iCal or Office 365 calendar, Sally can still view your availability across calendars if you sync those calendars with your primary calendar. Please reach out and we’d be happy to help you get set up. 

Will Sally propose a meeting time if I have a conflict at that time?

No. Sally will only propose meetings at times at which you are available, unless you specifically instruct her to schedule a meeting at a certain time during which you have another event scheduled.

Does Sally work across time zones?

Yes, Sally coordinates across all time zones. She factors in the meeting participant(s) time zone(s) when suggesting times that work for you.

I use a third-party app to sync my calendars. Will this work with Sally?

If the primary calendar connected to your Sally account is synced with a secondary calendar, events added by Sally should be visible on the secondary calendar. If you have any issues, just let us know

Can I ask Sally to add events or reminders to my calendar that don’t require her to schedule a meeting?

Absolutely! Just email Sally directly at sally@meetsally.ai and she can add any event to your calendar – whether it’s a birthday reminder, a flight, or simply a request to block off some quiet time for you to work without taking meetings.

Does Sally factor in travel time when scheduling in-person meetings?

You bet – Sally is connected to Google Maps and factors in travel time for all in-person meetings. She’ll never schedule back-to-back meetings on the opposite sides of town.

Meeting Preferences

How will Sally know my preferences?

You can set your preferences at anytime by logging in to your account or by emailing Sally and letting her know you’d like to set your preferences. She’ll send over a few questions for you to respond to, such as your office location, your preferred number for phone calls, conference call bridge, etc.

You can adjust your preferences at any time!

What types of preferences can I set?

All kinds! Preferred contact information, meeting locations, default meeting duration and more.

What if I have a special request that differs from my usual preferences?

Any instructions you provide Sally in an email will take precedent over your preferences. For example, if you usually prefer that the person you’re meeting with calls you on your mobile, but in a particular situation you want to call the person, just let Sally know in the request.

Making requests

How do I make a scheduling request to Sally?

Cc sally@meetsally.ai (or her male counterpart, sam@meetsally.ai) on any scheduling-related email when you’re ready for her to reach out to the meeting participant(s) to arrange a meeting.

How do I know when to loop Sally into the conversation?

If someone emails you to arrange a meeting, Cc Sally in your reply and let the person know that Sally will help find a meeting time.

If you’re sending out an email to organize a meeting, Cc Sally on the email chain when you’re ready for her to take over and schedule the meeting.

Can I interact with Sally by voice?

Yes – you can leave Sally a voice message detailing your scheduling request. Be sure to include the name and email addresses of all meeting participants in your voicemail. 

Can I email Sally directly?

You can always email Sally directly with specific requests such as to add an event or reminder to your calendar. If you want Sally to schedule a meeting for you, however, you need to include all meeting participants on the email so Sally knows who to schedule the meeting with.

Soon, Sally will have access to your contacts, so if you send her an email saying “schedule a call with Jane Henderson at her earliest convenience” Sally will search your contacts for Jane Henderson and reach out to her directly to schedule the call.

Can I use Sally to schedule internal meetings?

Absolutely!

What requests can Sally help with?

Sally can search for flight, hotel and car service reservations based on your travel needs. She can also search for and confirm restaurant reservations.

Can Sally make restaurant reservations for me?

Yes, Sally can make restaurant reservations, depending on availability, provided that the restaurant does not require a credit card to secure the reservation.

Can Sally book my travel reservations for me?

Not yet, but we’re working on it!

Right now, Sally will send you the best flight / hotel / car service options for you to review, but you are responsible for booking.

Soon, Sally will have the capability to book reservations on your behalf
